This is a love letter to the art of tiling.
Over the years, I have documented various tiles I have come across. From rustic homes in southern China, to French colonial mansions in Shanghai, to the pavement I walked on every day, to temples in Thailand, all of the beautiful tiles have fascinated and inspired me. In this project, I want to combine my love of tiles with typeface design. I have created grid systems based on tile patterns and used different paving methods to create unique display typefaces. This is an ongoing project.
